Holiday Happenings in the Createscape Neighborhood
It’s a season of celebration and you don’t have to go far from Createscape to get that festive feeling this December.
You don’t have to go far with some of our 701 Tillery Street neighbors hosting events this month. The Puerto Rican Cultural Center’s annual community theatre production Más Que Pantalones is being staged at Huston-Tillotson University on December 14 and 15. From The Nutcracker to more contemporary experiences, the First Street Studio has performances running throughout the month. If you’re already looking forward to 2025, allgo is hosting a Queer Visioning Workshop at Craft on Springdale Road on December 10.
Are you looking to get your holiday shopping all wrapped up? Distribution Hall hosts the Holiday Vibe Market December 14-15. Also that weekend is Flores Market’s Latinfest ATX, right up the street at Canopy on Springdale Road. And just across the parking lot East Austin Succulents is hosting Cactus Market ATX, also on December 14.
Do you need a festive tipple after a day of work or shopping? Kitty Cohen’s has their annual Hanukkah Pop-Up Bar running through January 2, and an artisan night market running every Saturday. Createscape favorite The Cavalier has a Holiday Cocktail Takeover running from December 12-14. If you’re looking for a country Christmas, Lefty’s Brick Bar has Rudolph’s Roadhouse all month long.
